Travis M Morrison

HI! My name is Travis Morrison and I live in Daviess County, KY (born and raised).

I have been married to my beautiful wife for 16 years and, together, we are the parents of two growing children.

As an undergraduate, I completed my work through Kentucky Wesleyan College while majoring in communications with a minor in sociology.

Ultimately, in 2011, I obtained my Master of Social Work degree from Western Kentucky University.

After graduation I began working in community mental health and obtained dual licensure within the state of Kentucky as both a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC).

Currently, I am a board approved supervisor under both licensures within my home state.

For over a decade, my professional experience has centered around residential substance use treatment for mandated clientele (largely, this includes individuals who have been court ordered for services or who are actively on probation or parole).

For approximately three years, I facilitated group services directly inside several Kentucky penitentiaries.

This work with segregated inmates strengthened my resolve for group facilitation while reinforcing my desire to work with mandated clients.

The totality of my professional experience, alongside my clinical practice, places focus on integrating family education as a primary intervention for substance use disorder and related externalizing behaviors.
