Kate C. Bennett, MSW, LCSW
Kate C. Goedtel-Bennett is a Behavioral Health Consultant at Children’s Wisconsin and has served the organization in multiple capacities since 2009.
She began her career working primarily with families receiving child welfare services in the family case management program.
In her current role, she collaborates with pediatric primary care providers across the Children’s organization to support the implementation & goals of the Integrated Mental and Behavioral Health program.
Kate provides clinical consultation services focused on treating any and all behavioral health needs in children and their families.
While pursuing her graduate degree from 2011-2013, Kate helped establish the foundation of the Institute for Child and Family Well-Being.
Since that time, she has focused her clinical practice on the dissemination of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and continues to champion this evidence-based intervention as one of two Certified PCIT International Regional Trainers in Wisconsin.
In 2016, Kate was certified to deliver Screening, Brief Intervention & Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) for substance use disorders and has expertise in multiple other interventions, including Child-Adult Relationship Enhancement (CARE), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP).
She continues to train other practitioners and provide support for various programs across the state through her independent clinical consulting practice.
Kate received her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2008 and her master’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2013.
She achieved certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in 2017 and is currently completing her doctorate in social work at the University of Kentucky.
Kate is married and is a mother of two active boys, two dogs, and a turtle.
She enjoys continuous learning and promoting personal health and well-being through play & adventures with her family.
